Assessments

Assessments allow the identification of strengths, supports areas of challenges and creates academic resilience.
Dione, Kate and Marisa offer comprehensive and specifically tailored cognitive and learning assessments to individuals 6 years and older.
We offer cognitive assessments using the WISC-V and the WAIS-IV, academic assessments using the WIAT-III, as well as specific tests and screening questionnaires for attention and hyperactivity, executive functioning differences and memory;
We come from a neurodiverse-affirming framework where we can help with identifying differences in how a person learns and interacts with the world, rather than focusing on a person's disabilities or weaknesses;

Assessments can support students and teachers with Individual Learning Plans, school placements, expectations and the understanding of how one learns in order to maximise their academic success.
A standard assessment process includes:
Session 1: Comprehensive history (50 minutes)
Session 2: Assessment (90 -120 minutes)
Session 3: Assessment (90-120 minutes)
Session 4: Feedback with report (50 minutes).
As each assessment is tailored specifically to each individual, the tests administered may differ as may the time involved which will be guided by your psychologist.
The psychologist is also available to contact schools and liase with other professionals as required. Please contact Dione, Kate and Marisa for further information.
